Coddled Critters

While everyone says "Make yourself at home" and "Help yourself to whatever is in the fridge" - not everyone has anything (or anything we will eat) in the house when they leave. If we are to live in your house, we need sustenance. If you have a full pantry and fridge and freezer full of a variety of foods then you probably don't need to worry about extra shopping because we will most likely find something we like. If your cupboards are bare... then this list is for you. :)

This is just a list of foods we like. You are not expected to buy everything on it! It is perfectly okay to deviate from it too, it is just to give you an idea of what foods we eat since you are providing our meals. Use your judgment based on how long your trip is. Like if you buy a box of cereal and some organic milk that covers several breakfasts, you don't have to buy a different breakfast for each day. Same with like sandwich stuff for lunch, or a bag of chicken to make dinners.

Breakfast Ideas: Equate (Wal-Mart Brand)- Dark Royal Chocolate or Special K chocolate meal replacement drinks, BANANAS, eggs, bacon, bagels, cream cheese, Rasin Bran, Golden Grahams, fruity muffins, Jiffy fruity muffin mixes. Just about any fruit juice or mix of juices. Organic milk (Forest prefers SilkMilk, no meal replacement shakes, though he does like the fruity yogurt drinks and he likes almost any kind of ceral)

Lunch Ideas: turkey or chicken lunch meat, 45 calorie multi-grain bread, just about any kind of cheese (but not with peppers - just plain), cottage cheese, pears, apples, bananas, white albacore tuna in water, Ritz crackers, kosher hot dogs, regular Doritos (Forest prefers Ranch Doritos)

Dinner Ideas: those bags of precooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts (they are like $7 and will last several meals), just about any kind of lean beef, lean ground turkey, chicken breasts, white flaky type fish, potatoes (a potato with some butter and cheese can be a meal by itself), green beans, peas, carrots, corn, asparagus, salad (no tomatoes necessary!) Forest does NOT cook. Frozen pizzas - pepperoni and/or ham & pineapple, Hot Pockets, Anytizers, Orange Chicken (frozen Asian meals), sausage links, corndogs,

Drinks: Forest and I both drink plain water - bottled or filtered is great. We like juices, apple minute maid orange, mixed flavors.
